Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Holzken (ranked 3565 p4p, 301 weight class) and Sergio Bujol (ranked 3418 p4p, 285 weight class). Holzken comes to the cage accompanied by Justin Bieber ft. Ariana Grande - Let Me Think Bout You. Sergio Bujol is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Bujol!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holzken moves into the clinch.
Bujol goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bujol is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Holzken is trying to drag Bujol to the mat but Bujol just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bujol has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Holzken is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bujol.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holzken has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bujol tries to lock up and control but Holzken gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Holzken jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bujol is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bujol and Holzken has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Holzken wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bujol keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Holzken is looking for a kimura but Bujol is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Holzken to get the leverage.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bujol is positioning himself well to prevent Holzken advancing to mount.

and Bujol counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A combination from Holzken does no damage.
Bujol swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Holzken fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bujol got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holzken has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bujol has managed to get both his arms back between Holzken's legs - danger averted.

Holzken shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bujol manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sergio Bujol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
