Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Woods (ranked 6020 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Rowlands (ranked 7716 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Rowlands has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rowlands shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rowlands shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Woods's guard.

Rowlands is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Woods can't fight it off and eventually Rowlands manages to take the fight to the floor. Woods looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A little jabbing left from Rowlands on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Woods tries to counter by clinching up but Rowlands breaks away and moves out of range.
Rowlands looks to land a body kick but Woods moved away.

Rowlands feints and as Woods raises his hands in defense, Rowlands changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rowlands stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Woods swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rowlands takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Woods is trying to control the position but Rowlands postures up.
Rowlands throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Woods works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Woods will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well Rowlands has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lee Rowlands was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
