Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oren Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Full Jacket!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson tries a head kick but it misses.

Jacket gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jacket has Wilson pressed against the cage, preventing Wilson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Wilson fakes the leg kick and cracks Jacket in the body.
Jacket shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wilson pinned against the cage. Wilson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wilson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Wilson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson throws a wild body kick that Jacket sees coming a mile off.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilson.
Jacket tries to buck Wilson off but Wilson is having none of it.
Jacket gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jacket trying to control but Wilson postures up.
Wilson wants to stand up but Jacket is controlling the position.

Wilson is working for an americana but Jacket has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Wilson was thinking about the submission.
Jacket controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself.
Wilson tries to stand but Jacket is controlling from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wilson wants to stand and escape but instead Jacket has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Wilson looking for a guillotine here but Jacket defends easily.
Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacket on the ground.
Wilson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jacket tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilson is retaining full guard.
Wilson seems keen to control Jacket's posture.

Jacket closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wilson quickly recovers to half guard.

Jacket is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wilson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jacket.

Jacket is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wilson defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacket is pressing down on Wilson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wilson is holding on for now.

Jacket moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wilson has worked his arm free - good work by Wilson!

Jacket wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wilson, who protects the arm well.

The referee asks Jacket politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jacket prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jacket throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Jacket tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jacket has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jacket is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jacket decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Wilson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jacket takes an elbow to the forehead.
Jacket tries to pull guard but Wilson forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jacket throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jacket is breathing heavily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jacket.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wilson. That's going to slow Jacket down.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Full Jacket showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Wilson looks to throw the jab but Jacket is out of range.
Jacket wants to counter the offense by Wilson and move into the clinch position.
Wilson moves in looking to clinch but Jacket pushes him off.
Wilson stuffs the takedown attempt from Jacket. Jacket gets slowly back to his feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jacket is defended easily by Wilson.

Wilson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacket was well out of range. Poor timing from Wilson.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wilson, as that shot connected.

Wilson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jacket gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wilson counters with a nice body shot.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Wilson - that will leave a mark!

Jacket keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Wilson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jacket to the ground. Wilson is now in Jacket's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jacket is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wilson is aware though and is defending well.
