Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micky Trudo (ranked 2820 p4p, 298 weight class) and Kato Ohtani (ranked 4399 p4p, 430 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trudo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ohtani scores with a hook.
Ohtani throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ohtani misses with a straight left.
Trudo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice straight punches there by Trudo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Trudo.
Trudo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ohtani.
A big right from Ohtani misses.
Ohtani connects with a nice looking jab.
Trudo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ohtani swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Trudo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Trudo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trudo throws a series of punches but Ohtani avoids them all with ease.
Ohtani throws out a counter right but Trudo avoids it with no problem.
Ohtani misses with the combination.
Ohtani fails to land with a series of punches.
Ohtani takes a swing at Trudo's ribcage but misses.
Ohtani ducks right into an uppercut from Trudo.
Trudo has Ohtani up against the cage in a clinch.
Trudo working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Trudo can't find room to land a body shot as Ohtani controls the action.
Ohtani prevents a body shot from Trudo.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Trudo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Trudo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ohtani wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Trudo has him pressed against the cage.
Trudo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Trudo throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Ohtani's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Trudo dives in looking to finish as Ohtani flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Trudo's strikes! Trudo is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Ohtani's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Ohtani was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
