Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Steel (ranked 2669 p4p, 321 weight class) and Lucas Vasquez (ranked 3005 p4p, 350 weight class). Steel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Accept- Balls to the wall. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Vasquez!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vasquez.
Vasquez shoots in for a double leg but Steel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steel just misses with a punch to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steel. Vasquez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vasquez.
Vasquez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Steel swivels and escapes.
Mickey Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Vasquez.
Vasquez takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A jab lands there for Steel.
Vasquez looks winded!
Steel throws a body shot but no joy.
Steel ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Steel. Those never looked like landing.
Despite the aggression on Vasquez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Steel throws a looping overhand right but Vasquez ducks down to avoid it.
Steel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Steel works Vasquez's body with a nice hook.
Steel throws a body shot but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Steel moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Vasquez goes down! Can Steel finish him!?

Steel landing some decent shots from guard.

Steel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Steel makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Steel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Steel connects with a couple of short punches.

Vasquez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Steel controls the pace.
Steel arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Vasquez's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
