Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Murphy Brown (ranked 2712 p4p, 295 weight class) and Jack McAuliffe (ranked 3621 p4p, 384 weight class). McAuliffe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Napoleon of the Ring. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Murphy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack McAuliffe!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McAuliffe.
Brown sizes up McAuliffe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brown throws a hook to the side of McAuliffe's head but McAuliffe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McAuliffe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McAuliffe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.
McAuliffe looks to score with a jab to the body but Brown is just out of range.
Brown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brown clobbers McAuliffe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A combination from McAuliffe does no damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown misses with a looping right.
McAuliffe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brown tries to clinch up.
McAuliffe misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown moves into the clinch.
Brown keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McAuliffe's efforts to push away.
Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown clinches with his opponent.
Brown misses with a body punch.
McAuliffe is trying to break the clinch but Brown is controlling him.
McAuliffe goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
McAuliffe doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
McAuliffe throws a head punch that misses.
Brown breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - McAuliffe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A jab from Brown does it's job there.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by McAuliffe.
Brown rushes McAuliffe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McAuliffe blocks a body shot from Brown.
McAuliffe wants to stall.
Brown looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Brown breaks from the clinch.
McAuliffe cracks Brown with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Murphy Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McAuliffe circles away from the clinch attempt.
McAuliffe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

This has been an exciting period of action!
McAuliffe misses with a wild body shot.
Brown is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
McAuliffe ducks right into an uppercut from Brown.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
McAuliffe throws a wild hook but Brown just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! McAuliffe gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Brown raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Murphy Brown!
