The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson thuds a left hand into Donaldson's body.

Jonhson tries to sprawl but Donaldson drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Jonhson is looking to control Donaldson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jonhson avoid being mounted?
Jonhson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Donaldson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Donaldson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jonhson is trying to stand up here but Donaldson is controlling him well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donaldson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jonhson defends it well.
Donaldson drops an elbow to the side of Jonhson's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Donaldson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
