Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Bedlaminov (ranked 616 p4p, 49 weight class) and Samuel Douglas (ranked 973 p4p, 100 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bedlaminov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Call to Arms. Douglas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bob Marley - Three Little Birds kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

We've been informed that Douglas has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

I was talking to Bedlaminov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bedlaminov throws a nice outside leg kick.
Douglas lands an uppercut, right on the button! Bedlaminov tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

A relieved looking Samuel Douglas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
