The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
William uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volkov.
Volkov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Volkov wants it to stay on the feet.
Volkov shoots in but William avoids the takedown attempt easily.
William takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Aleksandr Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fabian William overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
William is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
