Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Cooper (ranked 6004 p4p, 612 weight class) and Philippe Cockx (ranked 6767 p4p, 0 weight class). Cockx has chosen Street Fighter II Ryu Theme Original as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cockx takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cockx closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cooper circles away.
Cockx misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cockx or perhaps it was just good defense by Cooper, which made it look bad.
Leo Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Philippe Cockx.
Cockx shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cooper tries to counter with a takedown but Cockx is quick to defend against it.

Cooper gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cooper tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Cockx wants to improve his position but Cooper is controlling well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cockx is not content to let Cooper control the position.
It looks like Cooper is going to stand back up.

Cooper stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cockx to get to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Cooper. No joy for Cockx on that attempt.
Cockx closes the distance and clinches up with Cooper, looking for a takedown. Cockx pushes Cooper against the cage but Cooper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cockx tries to free his leg and advance position but Cooper is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cockx is fighting to break Cooper's control of his arms but Cooper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Cockx wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cockx stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cooper swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cooper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cooper has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Cockx defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cooper.
Cockx tries to reverse the position but Cooper maintains control.

Cooper is landing with some decent strikes but Cockx is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Cooper! Cockx is hurt baaadly! Cooper is firing away with more strikes - Cockx is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
