Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Vieira (ranked 2791 p4p, 331 weight class) and Paul Maul (ranked 1958 p4p, 254 weight class). Vieira comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Gun Kelly–Till I Die. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira thuds a left hand into Maul's body.
Vieira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Maul manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Vieira is looking to clinch but Maul is avoiding it.
Vieira moves into the clinch successfully.
Vieira wants a takedown but no success here.
Maul on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Vieira swings wildly with an uppercut but Maul uses good head movement to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vieira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
