Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Delegovic (ranked 8610 p4p, 621 weight class) and Filip Pavi (ranked 9578 p4p, 645 weight class). Filip Pavi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roman Delegovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Filip Pavi!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavi throws a right hand that Delegovic ducks under and follows up with a left that Delegovic also avoids with ease.
Pavi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Delegovic seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Delegovic tries to clinch but Pavi moves out of range.

Delegovic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pavi quickly recovers to half guard.

Delegovic looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Delegovic stands up from half guard.
Delegovic finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Delegovic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pavi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Delegovic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pavi avoids it really well and circles away.

Delegovic swats away the attempt to clinch by Pavi.
Pavi works the jab nicely.
Pavi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Pavi drives through and clinches with Delegovic against the cage.
Delegovic blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pavi's coach down at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches - $400/Week was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pavi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Delegovic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Delegovic throws a head kick that misses.
Delegovic wants to clinch.
Pavi jabs Delegovic to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pavi misses with a double jab.
Delegovic keeps the fight on the outside.
Delegovic walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pavi!

Delegovic is rocked!

Pavi cracks Delegovic with a left hook right on the temple and Delegovic goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Pavi lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Delegovic is OK!
