Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Boone (ranked 554 p4p, 50 weight class) and Jack Jones (ranked 494 p4p, 45 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 16 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jack Jones!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We've been told by Boone's head coaches at Big Bear Fight Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Boone throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jones attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Boone connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back.
That kick from Jones tenderised Boone's leg. Boone is trying to keep his angry face on.

Jones's coach down at Midnight MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Robert Boone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As Boone backs off Jones throws a huge counter combo but Boone manages to avoid it all.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Jones might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Boone has got the better of the exchanges.

Jack Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Jones counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Boone to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Jones!

A less than humble Jack Jones misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
