PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Razmig Grigorian (ranked 24 p4p, 4 weight class) and Matt Quin (ranked 115 p4p, 15 weight class). Grigorian comes to the cage accompanied by Ara Gevorgyan - Artsakh. The crowd seem to be enjoying Quin's choice of entrance music: Captain Jack - Iko Iko. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Quin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grigorian walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Quin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Grigorian feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Quin's calf.
Grigorian has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym Amsterdam in the buildup to the fight.
Grigorian tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Quin was well out of range. Poor timing from Grigorian.
Grigorian lands with an uppercut that bounces Quin off the cage and back into range.
Grigorian feints and then cracks Quin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quin down.

That was a close round but I would say that Razmig Grigorian will probably get the nod.

Grigorian clobbers Quin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Quin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

And Quin tries to counter it with a takedown but Grigorian pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Grigorian is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Quin can do to turn this around?
Nice uppercut lands for Grigorian. That snapped Quin's head back.
Quin is still on wobbly legs! Can Grigorian finish him?
Quin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Grigorian cracks Quin with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Quin tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Grigorian pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Quin is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
