Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobbie Wade (ranked 6961 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey McClean (ranked 5890 p4p, 570 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wade swats away the attempt to clinch by McClean.

McClean moves in looking to clinch but Wade pushes him off.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - McClean has eaten all the pies!
McClean wants to clinch up but Wade keeps it at a distance.

Wade drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McClean is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Wade went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Bobbie Wade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey McClean.

Wade bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wade takes advantage of some sloppy striking from McClean to pass into mount.

Wade jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McClean is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McClean and Wade has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Wade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wade creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on McClean's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Wade thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wade remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Wade drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McClean controls Wade momentarily but Wade frees himself.
Wade really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McClean throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
McClean is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Wade got a little sloppy there for a moment and McClean has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wade has managed to get both his arms back between McClean's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McClean is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wade knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
