Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Madden (ranked 7482 p4p, 597 weight class) and Jorginho Marcelo (ranked 9016 p4p, 647 weight class). Jorginho Marcelo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marcelo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Madden can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Marcelo throws a body shot but no joy.
Madden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marcelo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marcelo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Madden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marcelo can do to turn this around?
Marcelo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Madden manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marcelo on his heels. He'll look to pass Marcelo's guard now, I'm sure.

Marcelo has his foot on Madden's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Madden works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Madden.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Madden, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
