Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Wayne Hope!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wayne Hope shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Waters is looking to control Wayne Hope's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Waters avoid being mounted?
Wayne Hope throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Waters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Waters tries to get out of the position.
Wayne Hope takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wayne Hope is nestled in close to Waters, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Waters trying to control but Wayne Hope postures up.
Wayne Hope thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Waters has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Wayne Hope seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wayne Hope lands a nice short elbow.
Wayne Hope thows a huge punch but Waters dodges it nicely.
Waters misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Wayne Hope should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wayne Hope connects with a nice short shot to Waters's temple.
Waters is controlling Wayne Hope's trapped leg to prevent Wayne Hope from advancing to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wayne Hope thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Waters's head.
Waters is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wayne Hope scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wayne Hope lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Wayne Hope throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wayne Hope missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Waters is looking to improve his position.
Wayne Hope throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Waters to regain full guard.
Wayne Hope throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wayne Hope accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Waters is looking to stand up but Wayne Hope isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Waters slaps away a takedown attempt from Wayne Hope, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wayne Hope looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wayne Hope shoots for a takedown but Waters saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Waters seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Waters lands a left and a right that send Wayne Hope crashing to the mat, dazed. Waters thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Dennis Wayne Hope has been cut.
Waters scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


Wayne Hope is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Waters catches Wayne Hope with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Wayne Hope forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chief Waters!
