Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Levi Hatfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Hoekstra!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoekstra slaps away a takedown attempt from Hatfield, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hoekstra throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hatfield tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hoekstra is in Hatfield's guard.
Hatfield manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Hatfield throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Hoekstra breaks from the clinch.
Hatfield ducks under a wild hook from Hoekstra.
Hoekstra uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hatfield has time to react.
Hatfield tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hoekstra tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hoekstra closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hoekstra lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hatfield is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoekstra throws a big elbow that misses.
Hoekstra controlling from the top position.

Hatfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoekstra on the ground.
Hoekstra content to stall in guard here.
Hatfield could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hatfield is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hoekstra gets to his feet - Hatfield follows without any prompting.
Hatfield shoots in but no luck this time.
Hoekstra closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hatfield quickly recovers to half guard.
Hoekstra stands up and beckons Hatfield to join him on the feet.
Hoekstra manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hatfield on his heels. He'll look to pass Hatfield's guard now, I'm sure.

Hoekstra is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hoekstra tries to free his leg and advance position but Hatfield is retaining full guard.
Hoekstra postures up and lands a big shot to Hatfield's brow.

Hoekstra pushes down on Hatfield's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hoekstra lands a big elbow - Hatfield is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Hoekstra!
