Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Wildhauser (ranked 4835 p4p, 471 weight class) and Haste Day (ranked 8451 p4p, 606 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Wildhauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Haste Day!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wildhauser moves into range and clinches up with Day.
Wildhauser has Day pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Day manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Day avoids a wild elbow strike from Wildhauser.
Wildhauser tries for a takedown but Day manages to get underhooks.
Wildhauser has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Day after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Wildhauser. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Day breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Day swings for the body but Wildhauser moves out of range.
Day is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Haste Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day forces Wildhauser back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wildhauser is fighting off a takedown attempt but Day is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wildhauser to the mat. Wildhauser regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Day keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wildhauser's head.

Wildhauser controls Day momentarily but Day frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day is fighting to break Wildhauser's control of his arms but Wildhauser is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Day gets a takedown into half guard.
Wildhauser looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wildhauser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wildhauser passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Day!

Wildhauser is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Day to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Day shrugs it off.

Day tries to lock up and control but Wildhauser gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wildhauser stalling away here and it's allowed Day to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Day tries to kick Wildhauser off but Wildhauser keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Day wants to control but Wildhauser is keeping busy.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wildhauser in particular looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Day gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wildhauser to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wildhauser, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
