Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Medusa Grip (ranked 3646 p4p, 425 weight class) and Steve McQueen (ranked 4641 p4p, 515 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Medusa Grip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve McQueen!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grip loads up on a big right hand but McQueen slips the punch.
Grip looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Grip misses with a low kick.
A little jabbing left from McQueen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Grip checks a leg kick nicely.
Grip looks to land a combination but McQueen avoids it well.
McQueen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Grip lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McQueen circles away quickly and effectively.
McQueen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Grip tries to clinch but McQueen moves away
and Grip takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grip throws the left hand but McQueen avoids the punch easily.
McQueen throws a good cross that connects.
McQueen lands a nice looking body shot.
Donk. McQueen catches Grip right on the button with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McQueen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A telegraphed right hand from McQueen misses the target.
The fighters circle momentarily. McQueen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McQueen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grip throws out the jab.
McQueen connects with a right hand. Grip shakes it off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grip slips under a jab.
Grip misses with a hook
letting McQueen counter with a right hand.
McQueen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grip throws an off balance right hand
and McQueen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Grip throws a lazy uppercut
and McQueen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McQueen connects with a nice looking jab.
McQueen is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Grip had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
McQueen cracks a nice hook into Grip's ribs.
McQueen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Grip looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Grip throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McQueen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McQueen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McQueen missing with a left hand there. Grip was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grip shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McQueen looks to score with a jab to the body but Grip is just out of range.
Donk. McQueen catches Grip right on the button with a cross.

McQueen sends Grip crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! McQueen is motioning to the referee to let Grip up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Grip is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grip missing with a left hand there. McQueen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Oh Grip is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McQueen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Grip rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McQueen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Grip seems to have got his legs back now.
McQueen thuds his right hand into Grip's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fighters circle momentarily. McQueen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McQueen drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Grip's head, knocking him out cold! McQueen is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steve McQueen!
