Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abdul Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mashu Khan!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan connects with a leg kick. Lee looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Khan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Khan shoots in and bounces Lee off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Khan controls from within his opponent's guard.
Khan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lee wants to control but Khan passes easily into half guard.
Khan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee wants to control but Khan is keeping busy.

Lee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khan pulls his head out easily.
Khan throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Khan wants to free his trapped foot but Lee is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Lee is looking to improve his position.

Khan seems to be looking for submissions.
Khan scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Khan controlling the action here.
Khan wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Khan prevents Lee from improving his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Khan throws a big elbow that misses.

Lee wants to sweep but no luck.

Lee can't keep his opponent in guard - Khan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Khan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Khan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Khan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Khan wants to free his trapped foot but Lee is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Khan tries a head kick but it misses.
Khan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Khan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lee, pushing him back against the cage.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Khan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Khan takes the fight into the clinch.

Khan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Lee can't do much from the bottom here.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Khan jumps guard.
Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mashu Khan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Khan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Khan is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Khan wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Khan is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Khan wants to stand but Lee has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Khan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Lee's thigh. Lee counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Khan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Khan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Khan is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lee is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is not content to let Khan control the position.

A control attempt from Lee but he's now mounted!
Khan trying to control but Lee is having none of it.

It looks like Abdul Lee has been cut.
Khan cracks Lee with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
