Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Troy Hattori (ranked 22259 p4p, 701 weight class) and Ra Rrz Be Nize (ranked 22707 p4p, 723 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ra Rrz Be Nize was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 5 losses; Troy Hattori! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 4 losses; Ra Rrz Be Nize!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Be Nize pushes Hattori up against the cage in a clinch.

Hattori has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Be Nize uses from the top position.
Be Nize looking to sit in guard and control but Hattori gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hattori trying to control but Be Nize is working from the bottom.

Be Nize has his foot on Hattori's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hattori works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Be Nize is trying to control the position but Hattori postures up.
Hattori pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Be Nize is keeping the position for now.
Be Nize keeping moving, preventing Hattori from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Be Nize escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hattori gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hattori's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hattori trying to control the position from guard on top but Be Nize is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hattori stands and throws Be Nize's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Score +3 for passing guard: Hattori (5) vs (0) Be Nize
Be Nize tries to buck Hattori off but Hattori is having none of it.

Hattori has hold of Be Nize's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Be Nize seems comfortable defending it but Hattori has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Be Nize is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Be Nize is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hattori couldn't care less - he's delighted!
