PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Lora (ranked 2109 p4p, 279 weight class) and Dex Arial (ranked 2420 p4p, 320 weight class). Arial is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thunder. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dex Arial!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lora tries a head kick but it misses.
Lora pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Lora is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Arial.

Lora has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arial can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Arial is looking to work some ground and pound but Lora has wrist control.
Lora on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lora tries to get out of the position.

Lora had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Arial defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lora has his foot on Arial's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arial works his way back into a safe position though.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Arial working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
