Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cajetan Shashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dom Willis!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shashi with a nice cross.
Shashi connects with a single shot there.

Shashi moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Willis goes down! Can Shashi finish him!?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shashi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Willis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Willis is still in real trouble! Can Shashi finish him?
Willis wants to sweep here but Shashi controlling him for the moment.

Willis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shashi is aware though and is defending well.

Shashi is looking for a kimura but Willis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shashi to get the leverage.
Willis is looking for a sweep. Shashi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Shashi is thwarting Willis's attempts to control the position.
Willis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shashi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shashi's back!
Shashi trying to control the action but Willis just sinks the hooks in.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Willis.

Willis scores with punches to the body.
Shashi breaks Willis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Willis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Shashi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Willis wants to sweep here but Shashi controlling him for the moment.

Shashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Willis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shashi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cajetan Shashi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Willis slips a jab from Shashi.
Willis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Willis fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Willis wants to clinch up but Shashi keeps it at a distance.
Shashi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Shashi tries to clinch but Willis is having none of it.
Willis feints a counter leg kick.
Shashi tries to close the distance and clinch but Willis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Willis throws out a counter right but Shashi avoids it with no problem.
Willis misses with a wild body shot.
Shashi is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Shashi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Willis has time to react.
A telegraphed right hand from Willis misses the target.
Shashi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Shashi scores with the left hand. Willis knows he should have avoided that one.
Shashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Willis sprawls well. Willis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shashi gets slowly back to his feet.
Shashi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Willis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Shashi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Willis can pounce on him.

Willis moves into range and clinches up with Shashi.

Shashi manages to break the clinch.
Shashi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Willis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Willis was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Willis throws out a powerful jab.
Shashi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Willis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice combination there by Shashi.
Shashi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A good leg kick by Willis.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Willis misses with a straight right.
Shashi tries to counter with a takedown but Willis is quick to defend against it.
Willis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shashi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice takedown defense from Shashi. No joy for Willis on that attempt.
Shashi throws an off balance right hand
and Willis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shashi lands a big head kick that sends Willis to the canvas! Shashi follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cajetan Shashi!
Cajetan Shashi seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
