The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pasta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bennington manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Pasta is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bennington is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pasta scores with a couple of nice shots.

Bennington looking for submissions off his back.

Bennington has hold of Pasta's hands but Pasta slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pasta lands a nice short elbow.
Pasta takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bennington looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Bennington is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pasta pulls his head out easily.

Bennington wants to control but Pasta is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bennington is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pasta's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pasta's back!

Bennington is looking for the choke from the back position but Pasta is controlling his hands well.
Bennington doesn't have the hooks in and Pasta manages to turn into his guard.
Pasta is breathing heavily.

Bennington is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pasta throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bennington 's body to avoid the submission. Bennington has instead reached around Pasta's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bennington arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
