Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Esko Marttinen (ranked 992 p4p, 124 weight class) and Viktor Bestarsson (ranked 435 p4p, 52 weight class). Marttinen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Heavy Metal we will die!. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marttinen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bestarsson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Marttinen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bestarsson. Bestarsson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Marttinen lands a head shot.
Marttinen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Marttinen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Marttinen throws a lazy body kick
and Bestarsson counters with a straight right hand.
Marttinen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Marttinen misses with a hook.
Marttinen cracks Bestarsson with a good jab.
Marttinen misses with a wild combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bestarsson misses with a low kick as Marttinen jumps back.
An attempted straight right counter from Marttinen misses the target.
Bestarsson misses with an uppercut. Marttinen saw that one coming.
Bestarsson loads up on a big right hand but Marttinen slips the punch.
Bestarsson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marttinen is out of range.
Bestarsson tries to work over Marttinen's front leg with a kick but Marttinen checks it.
Marttinen throws a quick counter head kick but Bestarsson was just out of range.
Marttinen lands with a kick to the temple. Bestarsson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Bestarsson throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Esko Marttinen has been cut.
Bestarsson throws a body kick that misses
and Marttinen counters with a single leg into guard. Bestarsson didn't expect that.
Marttinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Bestarsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bestarsson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bestarsson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Marttinen stands and throws Bestarsson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bestarsson wants to control but Marttinen postures up.
Bestarsson isn't going anywhere.
Bestarsson is trying to get back to half guard.

Marttinen is working for a submission of some sort.
Marttinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bestarsson keeps working.
Marttinen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marttinen is controlling the pace.

Bestarsson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Marttinen.
Bestarsson works his way to full guard. Good work.
Bestarsson pulls Marttinen in to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marttinen wants to control from the top but Bestarsson keeps moving.
Marttinen is pushing down on Bestarsson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bestarsson is fighting to maintain full guard but Marttinen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Marttinen looks to land a strike but Bestarsson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Bestarsson pulls Marttinen in close to prevent any damage.
Marttinen trying to control but Bestarsson is working from the bottom.

Bestarsson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marttinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bestarsson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Marttinen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bestarsson has his hands clasped together but Marttinen extends and breaks Bestarsson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Marttinen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Esko Marttinen!
Esko Marttinen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
