The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kvirkvelia fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hightower let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hightower misses with an uppercut

and Kvirkvelia counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hightower has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kvirkvelia has passed into side control.
A lull in the action here as Kvirkvelia stalls from top position.
Hightower is looking to reverse the position.
Hightower wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kvirkvelia is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hightower's shoulder. That is not cool.

Kvirkvelia is keen to just control but Hightower is a slippery customer.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Hightower! Kvirkvelia is hurt baaadly! Hightower is firing away with more strikes - Kvirkvelia is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Reed Hightower decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
