The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pelti throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Monster was covering up waiting for the punch and Pelti finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Monster uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Pelti shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Monster counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Pontso Pelti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monster jabs Pelti to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pelti doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Monster connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
