Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 96 p4p, 16 weight class) and Uri Gellar (ranked 159 p4p, 24 weight class). Uri Gellar will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Uri Gellar!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chugman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gellar's guard.
Chugman tries to free his leg and advance position but Gellar is retaining full guard.

Chugman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gellar's guard.
Gellar is trying is best to control the position here.
Chugman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chugman wants to free his trapped foot but Gellar is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Chugman works his way into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gellar sneaks back into half guard.

Chugman is looking for a kimura but Gellar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chugman to get the leverage.

Chugman is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Gellar is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Gellar is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gellar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Chugman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chugman is trying to control the position but Gellar postures up.
Chugman looking for a sweep. Not yet Chugman, not yet.
Gellar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Chugman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chugman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gellar is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chugman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gellar defends well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Chugman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gellar defends it easily.

Gellar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chugman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gellar has managed to get both his arms back between Chugman's legs - danger averted.

Chugman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gellar doesn't defend quickly enough and Chugman has managed to lock this one up! Can Gellar escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Chugman on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Klaus Chugman!

Klaus Chugman gave a mention to IniTech Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
