Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stasius Venom (ranked 367 p4p, 48 weight class) and Cheik Imbula (ranked 418 p4p, 58 weight class). Venom comes into the arena with For Heavy Metal we will die! blaring out of the sound system. Imbula comes into a darkened arena with his song building. ~Apache~ kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom misses with a hook
and Imbula counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Imbula scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nice body kick there by Imbula.
Venom misses with a combination
and Imbula counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Venom pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A little jabbing left from Imbula on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Venom blocks a head kick by Imbula.
Venom is looking to counter punch.

and Imbula counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Imbula lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Stasius Venom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Imbula counters with a crisp one two that drops Venom! Imbula thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Venom to his feet! Venom is in big trouble!

Venom is rocked!

Imbula dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Venom has had enough and taps out.
