Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Seis (ranked 7541 p4p, 725 weight class) and Tyrone Smith (ranked 7677 p4p, 735 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seis moves into range and clinches up with Smith.
Seis lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Seis is pushing Smith up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Smith has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

With the fighters up against the cage, Seis throws an elbow but misses.

Seis has Smith pressed against the cage. He pushes Smith back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Seis throws a beautiful elbow that sends Smith crashing to the floor! Seis piles on the pressure with more strikes! Smith is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
