Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Nielson (ranked 5340 p4p, 520 weight class) and Jake Daniels (ranked 5433 p4p, 0 weight class). Nielson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielson throws a right hand that Daniels ducks under and follows up with a left that Daniels also avoids with ease.
Nielson fails to land the takedown.
Daniels shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nielson defends it nicely.
Nielson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nielson wants it to stay on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Daniels.
As Daniels tries to get set, Nielson tries to push him back and clinch up but Daniels manages to avoid the attempt.
Joel Nielson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Daniels.
Daniels displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nielson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Daniels has taken the fight to the clinch.
Daniels is trying to break the clinch but Nielson is controlling him.

Nielson tightens his grip and picks Daniels up, before dumping him to the ground. Daniels manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daniels pushes Nielson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nielson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Nielson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Daniels to his feet.

Daniels moves into range and clinches up with Nielson.

Daniels has hold of one of Nielson's legs. Nielson is fighting the takedown attempt but Daniels gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Nielson wants to stand up but Daniels is controlling him.
Nielson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nielson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nielson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Daniels manages to get himself to full guard.

Jake Daniels's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
