The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rigano closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hristo did well to prevent Rigano getting side control.
Hristo wants to stand back up but Rigano manages to pass into side control.
You can see the frustration on Hristo's face as Rigano controls the position.
Hristo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rigano has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hristo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rigano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rigano is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hristo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Rigano has hold of Hristo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hristo seems comfortable defending it but Rigano has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hristo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hristo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rigano couldn't care less - he's delighted!
