The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun throws a sloppy head kick and Sobolev moves out of range easily.

Calhoun shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sobolev napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Calhoun is looking to take a break and control but Sobolev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sobolev is pushing Calhoun's head away, looking to escape. Calhoun manages to hold on to the position though.
