The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Franco drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Franco jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brito is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Franco asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Brito is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Franco wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brito, who protects the arm well.

Brito tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Franco cranks the arm and Brito screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brito, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
