Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boa Link (ranked 6978 p4p, 694 weight class) and Luukas Porvola (ranked 5852 p4p, 633 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Link might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Peak Times by Switch. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Link.
Porvola throws a series of punches but Link avoids them all with ease.
Link takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Porvola misses with a hook
and Link counters with a good low kick that Porvola was not able to check.
Porvola scores with a crisp jab that stopped Link in his tracks.
It looks like Boa Link has been cut.
Link shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Porvola but Porvola pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Link has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Porvola finds it's way round the side to connect with Link's head.
Link goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Porvola throws a good cross that connects.
Link thuds his shin into the meat of Porvola's side.
Porvola's corner calls for a 1-2. Porvola obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Porvola cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boa Link. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Link ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Luukas Porvola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Porvola punishes Link's body with a nice straight punch.
Link is breathing heavily.
Nice uppercut lands for Porvola. That snapped Link's head back.
Porvola has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Porvola lands a nice looking body shot.
Oooooh!!! Porvola has knocked Link down with a huge combo! Porvola steps away and waves a wobbly Link back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Link is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Porvola cracks a nice hook into Link's ribs.
Porvola cracks Link with a hook to the temple - Link is on wobbly legs here! Porvola swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Link falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Porvola wins by TKO!
