Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drake Basket Case (ranked 1137 p4p, 142 weight class) and Cayden Cadman (ranked 1273 p4p, 159 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Basket Case might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Crazy. Cayden Cadman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Drake Basket Case 's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basket Case tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cadman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Basket Case somewhat.
Cadman throws out a counter right but Basket Case avoids it with no problem.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Basket Case swings for the body but Cadman moves out of range.
Cadman looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Basket Case lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Basket Case throws a push kick but Cadman slaps the foot to one side.
Cadman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cadman keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A bone on bone clash there as Basket Case blocks the leg kick.

Drake Basket Case seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cadman is concentrating on defense, preventing Basket Case from advancing position.

Basket Case seems to be working for a kimura but Cadman defends the submission attempt.

Cadman is trying to stand back up but Basket Case is controlling him
Cadman told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Basket Case thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cadman 's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Basket Case wants to take a breather but Cadman is having none of it.

Basket Case is trying to work for a kimura but Cadman is defending well.
Basket Case prevents Cadman from improving his position.
Basket Case tries to pass to full mount but Cadman defends it.
Basket Case wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cadman keeps working.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Drake Basket Case will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nice uppercut there from Cadman .
Cadman walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Basket Case checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Cadman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Basket Case momentarily.
Basket Case gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cadman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Cadman replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Basket Case blocks it well.

Cadman lands with a right hand.
Cadman wants to clinch up but Basket Case keeps it at a distance.
Basket Case gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Cadman gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
