The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zangief throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Talley swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Zangief closes the distance and clinches.
Talley wants to break free but Zangief has control.

Talley tries to circle away but Zangief has him pinned against the cage.
Zangief tries to land knees in the clinch but Talley avoids the damage to the body.
Talley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zangief just stands there and leans against the cage.

Talley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zangief is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Talley to the mat. Talley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Zangief wants to advance to full mount but Talley doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Zangief stands up and waves to Talley to follow him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zangief pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Talley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Adolph Talley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Zangief throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Talley.
Talley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Talley enables Zangief to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Talley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Talley throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Zangief escapes and throws Talley's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Zangief is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Talley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Volg Zangief showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Zangief creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Talley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Zangief pounces like a tiger and cracks Talley with a vicious hook! Talley is down but not out! Zangief follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
