The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoyce connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Gunnar Steigelmann has been cut.
Steigelmann lands with an uppercut that bounces Hoyce off the cage and back into range.
Steigelmann connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Steigelmann scores with a kick to the midsection.
Steigelmann delivers a nice body kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Hoyce blocks the leg kick.
Hoyce steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steigelmann.
Steigelmann drops his shoulder and cracks Hoyce with a huge uppercut! Hoyce goes down! Can Steigelmann finish him?

It looks like Hennan Hoyce has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hoyce wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Steigelmann manages to pass to side control.
Hoyce is still in real trouble! Can Steigelmann finish him?
Steigelmann takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hoyce seems to have recovered his senses.

Steigelmann looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Steigelmann is looking to take a break and control but Hoyce is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Steigelmann lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Steigelmann bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hoyce's head backwards.
Hoyce misses with an uppercut.
Steigelmann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hoyce.
Hoyce is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Steigelmann with a body shot.
Steigelmann swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoyce throws out a counter right but Steigelmann avoids it with no problem.

Steigelmann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hoyce throws a hook to the side of Steigelmann's head but Steigelmann sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

It seemed like Hoyce was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Steigelmann pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Steigelmann tries to bum rush Hoyce with a series of wild strikes but Hoyce uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Steigelmann is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Steigelmann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hoyce moves away.

Hoyce swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

and Hoyce connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
