The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasla closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Vasla is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Vasla has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kenderson uses from the top position.
Vasla has Kenderson pulled in close to control his posture.
Vasla lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vasla shoots for a takedown but Kenderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vasla closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kenderson circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vasile Vasla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vasla pushes Kenderson up against the cage in a clinch.
Vasla has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kenderson after a bit of a struggle.
Kenderson throws an elbow but it misses.

Vasla changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kenderson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kenderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vasla's guard.

Vasla's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kenderson is holding on here and Vasla must be using up a lot of energy. Kenderson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Vasla gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
