Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duane Dibley (ranked 2571 p4p, 268 weight class) and Paul Beecher (ranked 2515 p4p, 263 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Duane Dibley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Beecher!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dibley is looking to land body kicks.
Beecher is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've been hearing reports that Dibley has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A lazy body kick from Dibley
and Beecher counters with a right hand to the body.
Dibley throws a right hand that misses
and Beecher counters with a nice uppercut.
Beecher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dibley moves away.
Beecher looks to land a right hand but Dibley moved out of range.

Beecher scores with a crisp jab that stopped Dibley in his tracks.


It looks like Duane Dibley has been cut.
Beecher takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dibley.
Dibley fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dibley misses with a looping right.
Beecher lands with a shot to the body.

Beecher fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dibley lands a nice hook to Beecher's body. Beecher takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dibley lands a jab to Beecher's midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beecher connects with a right hand. Dibley shakes it off.
Beecher throws a combination. Dibley tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Dibley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Beecher throws out a counter right but Dibley avoids it with no problem.

and Beecher counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Duane Dibley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beecher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dibley is looking to counter the offense by Beecher and move into the clinch.

Beecher looks to score with a jab to the body but Dibley is just out of range.
Beecher misses with a series of wild punches.
Dibley throws a half hearted mid kick.
A nice side step and Beecher releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Beecher jabs Dibley to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Beecher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dibley manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Beecher.
Beecher let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Beecher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dibley misses with a body shot.
Beecher swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Beecher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dibley moves away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dibley.
Dibley thuds a left hand into Beecher's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beecher loads up on a big right hand but Dibley slips the punch.
Beecher is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dibley rather than just go for the knockout.
Dibley scores with a jab.
Beecher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dibley.
Beecher looks to score with a jab to the body but Dibley is just out of range.
Beecher tries to move into range but Dibley moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Beecher misses the body punch
and Dibley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circle momentarily. Dibley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dibley avoids the body shot from Beecher.
Dibley misses with a looping right.
Dibley lands a jab.
Beecher swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Duane Dibley will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dibley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dibley advances to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dibley is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Beecher is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Duane Dibley!
After winning the bout, Duane Dibley thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
