The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gozu tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
A little feinted left hand from Jones on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Miller Gozu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gozu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Russell Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
