Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Killinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimbo Monsoon!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Killinger.
Monsoon looks to land a right hand but Killinger moved out of range.
Killinger throwing a counter right hand but Monsoon manages to avoid it.
Killinger pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Monsoon back to the cage. Killinger follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Killinger misses with a body kick.
Monsoon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Killinger throws out the jab.
A nice side step and Monsoon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Monsoon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Killinger.
Monsoon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Killinger throws a jab when Monsoon was well out of range.

Monsoon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Killinger moves away.
Monsoon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Killinger was well out of range. Poor timing from Monsoon.
Monsoon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Monsoon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Killinger slaps away a takedown attempt from Monsoon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

enabling Monsoon to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Killinger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A looping hook to the body misses from Killinger. Monsoon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Monsoon throws out a counter right but Killinger avoids it with no problem.

Killinger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monsoon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Killinger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monsoon moves away.

Buster Killinger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown attempt by Monsoon or perhaps it was just good defense by Killinger, which made it look bad.
Killinger looks to throw the jab but Monsoon is out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Killinger throws a jab but it's blocked by Monsoon.
Killinger connects with a solid leg kick.

Monsoon misses with a hook.
Killinger feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Monsoons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Monsoon fails with the takedown.
Buster Killinger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Monsoon.
Monsoon moves out of range of the strikes.
Killinger lands with a good body shot.
Killinger bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Monsoon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Killinger has hold of Monsoon's hands but Monsoon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Monsoon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nice strikes from Monsoon there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monsoon sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Killinger defending well though.

Killinger is looking for a sweep. Monsoon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Monsoon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Monsoon won't allow Killinger to sweep him here.
Monsoon distracts Killinger with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.


Buster Killinger's cut is getting worse.
Monsoon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Monsoon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Killinger tries to buck Monsoon off but Monsoon is having none of it.

Buster Killinger's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Monsoon lands some shots froms side control.


Jeez, Buster Killinger's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Buster Killinger's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jimbo Monsoon!
Jimbo Monsoon decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
