The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruth misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Owen.
Owen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A telegraphed right hand from Ruth misses the target.
Owen throws a big shot that misses.
Owen missing with a left hand there. Ruth was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ruth appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Ruth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Owen pinned against the cage. Owen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruth connects with a crisp jab.

Ruth sends Owen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ruth is motioning to the referee to let Owen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Owen is rocked!
Ruth closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Owen out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
