Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Morrison Jr. (ranked 2467 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Jones (ranked 3240 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison Jr. comes to the cage accompanied by Face The Pain. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones walks into a jab.
Jones slips under a jab from Morrison Jr..
Morrison Jr. throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
David Morrison Jr. seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Morrison Jr..
Morrison Jr. lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Morrison Jr. fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head.
Morrison Jr. looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Morrison Jr. wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Morrison Jr. misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Morrison Jr. moves out of range as Jones strikes.
Morrison Jr. swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morrison Jr. was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Morrison Jr. counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jones!

Morrison Jr. controls the position from side control.
Jones is looking for a sweep.
Morrison Jr. wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrison Jr.. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Morrison Jr. is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jones's shoulder. That is not cool.

Morrison Jr. is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well.

Jones reaches up around Morrison Jr.'s neck trying to control. But Morrison Jr. takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Jones! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Jones is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Morrison Jr. celebrates the victory with the fans!
