Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 475 p4p, 58 weight class) and Shit Face (ranked 2100 p4p, 227 weight class). Face has chosen Blue clear sky as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson scores with a jab to the body.
Anderson throws a shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Anderson.
Face misses with a straight right.
Face swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Anderson throws a hook but Face avoids it easily.
Face is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Anderson with a body shot.
Anderson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Face misses.
Face doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Anderson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Anderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Anderson throws a jab but it's blocked by Face.
Face doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Anderson lands a nice shot to the body.

Face moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Face avoids the head kick by Anderson.

Face has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Anderson.
Anderson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Face throws a right hand that misses
and Anderson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Face ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Anderson.
Face swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.
A slow jab from Face misses its intended target.
Face looks to land a combination but Anderson avoids it well.
Face misses with a body shot.
Face throws a wild body kick that Anderson sees coming a mile off.
Shit Face seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Face fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anderson manages to avoid it.

Anderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Face!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Anderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Face knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Anderson slows the pace down.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Face is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Anderson is chipping away with strikes.
The ground and pound from Anderson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Face's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Face is looking for a sweep.

Face sneaks back into half guard.
Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Face is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Anderson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Anderson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Anderson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Anderson is pressing down on Face's thigh, looking to free his foot. Face is holding on for now.
Anderson thows a huge punch but Face dodges it nicely.

Face throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Face swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Anderson.
Anderson scores with a sloppy right hand. Face should have avoided that one.
Sparky Anderson is winning the standup battle so far.
Face throws a leg kick that is checked
and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Danga de danga de dang - Face scores with a four punch combination!
Face throws a lazy right hand but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Face shoots and misses

Face is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Face shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shit Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Face throws a big shot that misses.
Face throws a hook but Anderson avoids it easily.
Face swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.
Anderson tried to counter with a leg kick but Face avoided it.
Anderson ducks under a wild hook from Face.
Anderson is looking to counter punch.

Face just misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson attempts a counter takedown but Face avoids it well and moves away.
A punch lands to the side of Face 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Shit Face has been cut.
Anderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Face.
That kick from Anderson tenderised Face's leg. Face is trying to keep his angry face on.
Face throws out a leg kick but Anderson moves out of range and Face only half commits.
Face scores with a sloppy right hand. Anderson should have avoided that one.
Face throws a low kick, looking for Anderson's leg but Anderson calmly moves out of range.
Anderson throws a head kick that half lands.
Anderson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Face is out of range and Anderson settles back down.
Face connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Anderson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

No joy there for Face, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It looked like Anderson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Face.
Face seems to have recovered his senses.
Face takes a kick to the side of the head.
Face throws a lazy uppercut
and Anderson counters with a crisp right that sends Face to the canvas! Anderson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
