Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joseph OByrne (ranked 936 p4p, 120 weight class) and Juan Fonseca (ranked 1748 p4p, 209 weight class). Juan Fonseca told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OByrne does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fonseca thows a leg kick but OByrne checks it
and Fonseca takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fonseca lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fonseca throws an ugly left hook that misses
and OByrne counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fonseca thinking.
Fonseca rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and OByrne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fonseca lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but OByrne circles away quickly and effectively.
OByrne connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

OByrne tries to bum rush Fonseca with a series of wild strikes but Fonseca uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

OByrne lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fonseca's sensitive parts.

Oh OByrne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fonseca cracks OByrne with a right hand to the side of the head.
OByrne throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fonseca stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fonseca throws a right hand that OByrne ducks under and follows up with a left that OByrne also avoids with ease.
Fonseca takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
OByrne slips a jab from Fonseca.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
OByrne moves out of range as Fonseca strikes.
OByrne misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fonseca.

OByrne rushes Fonseca and presses him up against the cage.
OByrne throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
OByrne lands with a short head shot on the inside.

OByrne goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
OByrne misses with a body punch.
Fonseca looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Fonseca is trying to break the clinch but OByrne is controlling him.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd cheers as Fonseca lands an impressive looking overhand right. OByrne doesn't seem phased though.

Fonseca cracks OByrne with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! OByrne falls to his knees and Fonseca doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
