The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Mccall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mccall throws a series of punches but Dideiro avoids them all with ease.
Mccall lands with a kick to the ribs.
Mccall tries to clinch up but Dideiro circles away and keeps his distance.
Mccall scores with a hook.
Mccall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dideiro unleashes a big counter combination but Mccall bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Mccall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccall wants to get back to his feet but Dideiro is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dideiro is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mccall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dideiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mccall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mccall is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Dideiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dideiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dideiro slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mccall is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Dideiro lands a few punches from side control.
Dideiro looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mccall pushes Dideiro away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dideiro gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Dideiro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mccall has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dideiro is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mccall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dideiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mccall keeps working.

Dideiro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dideiro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mccall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dideiro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dideiro is trying to get an arm triangle but Mccall is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dideiro has hold of Mccall's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mccall seems comfortable defending it but Dideiro has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mccall is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mccall is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dideiro couldn't care less - he's delighted!
