The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Splinter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Splinter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kelly defends it nicely.
Kane Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Splinter looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kelly throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Splinter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Splinter wants to work for an arm triangle but Kelly is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Splinter is looking to advance position but Kelly won't allow it.
Splinter is thwarting Kelly's attempts to control the position.

Kelly pushes Splinter off looking to stand but Splinter dives back in and keeps control.

Splinter seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kelly is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
