Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Khabib Kadyrev (ranked 5063 p4p, 518 weight class) and Larry Wusky (ranked 7464 p4p, 650 weight class). Wusky has chosen Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Larry Wusky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Larry Wusky!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kadyrev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kadyrev showed some decent athleticism there.
Kadyrev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wusky tries to get to full guard but Kadyrev has control of the leg.
Wusky regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kadyrev.
Kadyrev lands a couple of decent looking shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kadyrev sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Wusky is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kadyrev defends well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kadyrev looking to improve position, pressing down on Wusky's thigh with his hand. Wusky seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Kadyrev paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Kadyrev's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Wusky picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
